Discovering the Wonderful World of the Gluttonous Gardener

Unique growing gifts, lovingly packed and swiftly delivered. At The Gluttonous Gardener they spend their days working to deliver gifts that celebrate weddings, christenings, birthdays, anniversaries and all the other special and significant events in our lives

They clearly take great pride in sending unique gifts throughout the land to surprise and delight your loved ones. Long after the cake has been eaten and the balloons have deflated, their growing gifts serve as a treasured reminder of your most special occasions.

Gardener Ned Trier germinated his idea over 20 years ago when he found himself in yet another London traffic jam en route to a client’s garden. Keen to avoid the traffic and to keep busier in the quieter months he devised a plan to deliver a range of growing gifts for the same price as a decent bunch of flowers. After a lot of trial, and a few errors, he had designed a beautiful and sturdy wooden crate to keep plants safe on their journey and began delivering his unique gifts.

It wasn’t long before those quieter winter months were no longer a problem. Orders came flying in and soon the small collection of gifts had grown to the range of 150 that you can to choose from today. They’re now a team of ten, busily delivering thousands of exceptional gifts throughout the country and into Europe.

With Ned’s horticultural expertise they cultivate and nurture the majority of their plants at Orchard Cottage, their nursery in Berkshire. Each crate is lovingly hand packed to order at their Battersea HQ and sent by overnight courier, ensuring that each and every gift arrives on the date of your choice, looking as wonderful as it did when it left them.

Their friendly, knowledgeable (and now award-winning!) customer service team are on hand to give green-fingered advice and ensure simple ordering and swift delivery

For a luxurious gift for someone special, the Gluttonous Gardener will provide a delightful instant orangery. They’ll carefully package and deliver a pair of beautiful fruiting citrus trees in large terracotta pots – a gorgeous Calamondin Orange Tree and a stunning Lemon Tree. These glossy evergreens will produce delicately scented blossoms and zesty fruits just perfect for summer drinks.

This fruitful pair may be kept outside in a sunny position throughout the summer, but should be brought indoors at the first sign of frost.

What is inside the crate?
